Who is invited to join this network?

Anyone involved in the creation or leadership of a local formation program for lay, diaconal, or priestly leadership in the Episcopal Church, especially:
  • Instructors in local formation programs;
  • Diocesan leaders, especially bishops and Commission on Ministry members;
  • Representatives of seminaries engaged in this work and in the questions above;
  • Affiliate practitioners and leaders from related programs working on the questions above

In 2017, the Episcopal Church in Minnesota hosted the first Uncharted gathering.  Rather than a conversation about denominational decline and measures of last resort, we found in each other shared excitement and energy for innovating methods of forming leaders, lay and ordained, to serve Episcopal faith communities across the country and beyond. Uncharted 2017.jpegWe also uncovered real synergy around the challenges we face. The Episcopal Church in Minnesota’s School for Formation is excited to host this next gathering with a more directed focus to help us deepen our connections and build capacity to address the challenges our faith communities face.
“I thought this would be focused on short-term ideas and solutions, and instead got the long-term ideas and the potential for lasting solutions. Way better!”
“This was one of the best facilitated events I’ve ever attended. The leadership was stellar: kind, inviting, equal, knowledgeable, and flexible.”
“I feel blown away by the potential and good will.”
